Independence

Josheelay's editorial decisions are made by our editors. Advertisers, sponsors, venues and sports bodies do not decide what we cover or how. Sponsored content is always labelled Sponsored and names the sponsor.

Sourcing and verification

• Every factual story lists its sources beneath the article, with links to the original material where possible.
• We prefer official announcements, governing bodies, competition organisers and on-the-record interviews.
• We do not copy articles from other publishers. When we summarise external reporting we attribute it clearly and link to it.
• We never publish invented quotes, statistics, experts, scores or fixtures. If information cannot be verified, we say so or we do not publish it.
• Live scores, fixtures and standings are only shown when they come from a verified source; otherwise we link to the official source.

Labelling

Readers should always know what kind of content they are reading:

• News / Match report — factual reporting.
• Analysis — expert interpretation grounded in facts.
• Opinion — the author's own views.
• Prediction — a forecast, not a report of fact.
• Creator — commentary from external creators; not Josheelay reporting.
• Sponsored — paid content, with the sponsor named.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to assist research and drafting. AI does not decide what is true. Every AI-assisted piece is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication and is disclosed on the article. We never present AI-generated material as eyewitness reporting.

Review before publication

Articles pass an editorial checklist before an editor can publish them: sources verified, names, dates and figures checked, no fabricated material, correct content label, authorised images, and an accurate headline.

Languages

We publish in English and Urdu. Urdu versions are written or reviewed by fluent editors; where a story is only available in one language we say so.
